The Upper Buffalo National River

Let's Explore Together

Plunge into the heart of the Buffalo Wilderness. Paddle the whitewater through the bluffs on America’s first National River. Warm up to the view from your hot tub on the deck of a secluded mountain cabin. Hike through Lost Valley or follow the bluff trail to the swimming hole at Steel Creek.

We value the pristine Buffalo National River, and know its clear, jade Ozark waters are the reason you vacation here. When you visit Buffalo River Country, you’ll discover why our customers are regulars, returning year after year to stay in our unique cabins, rustic bunkhouse, and pristine “glamping” campground alongside Ponca Creek.

Just visited lost valley canoe and lodging again after about 5 years, i've been there a handful of times before while exploring the area and the amazing hiking spots nearby. The property is beautiful, always a pleasant stay! The staff are all great folks and take pride in their work. 5 stars every time for me. The bunkhouse brings me straight back to my youth. Always an amazing experience.

We rented four canoes and arranged for shuttles to our take out point. Everyone was extremely helpful and accommodating. I really appreciated the help with determining the takeout point for our four day trip. Aaron was very helpful in suggesting where to camp each night to evenly divide the daily paddling. We have paddled this river annually for many years and used various outfitters but Lost Valley is by far the best outfitter on the upper Buffalo.

If you've never stayed here. You're missing out. My family and I have frequented the cabins at Lost Valley for many years. The incredible people who own and run them are one of a kind. Everything in Ponca is beautiful. The cabins are amazing.
